Scope of Services

EDC has been serving Business-to-Business (B2B) in the industry throughout the United States for the past 30 years.

At EDC, we help our clients get their FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment) customer items ranging from chandeliers, carpets, desks and chairs to computers, electronic equipment, bookcases and partitions to their job sites as efficiently as possible. Unexpected events can cause delays, increase storage fees and incur rush delivery charges. EDC’s specialists understand these delays and have the experience to help clients prepare in advance and find ways to minimize the impact on their budgets.

Clients can depend on us to store, transport and deliver their precious equipment with skill and care. We will closely inspect all items for quality control and cross-reference shipping documents and technology systems to ensure accuracy.

EDC was one of the first to specialize in Reverse Logistics by helping our customers with the process of planning and implementing the return of goods for the purpose of recapturing value or proper disposal.

More precisely, reverse logistics is the process of moving goods from their typical, final destination for the purpose of capturing value, or proper disposal.  Remanufacturing and refurbishing activities, also, may be included in the definition of reverse logistics. Reverse logistics is more than reusing containers and recycling packaging materials. Redesigning packaging to use less material, or reducing the energy and pollution from transportation are important activities, but they might be better placed in the realm of "green" logistics. If no goods or materials are being sent "backward," the activity probably is not a reverse logistics activity.

Reverse logistics also includes processing returned merchandise due to defect, seasonal inventory, restock, salvage, recalls, and excess inventory. It also includes recycling programs, hazardous material programs, obsolete equipment disposition, and asset recovery.
